Palmetto Bluff, South Carolina

Ade and Houston both have roots in South Carolina and they wanted a wedding where previous generations would be honored. Afer a weekend visit, the couple spoke in depth about the possibility of hosting their nuptials at Palmetto Bluff. They wanted to acknowledge their South Carolina heritage and Ade’s Nigerian background. So, selecting avenue that had a natural and effortlessly refined Lowcountry appeal was extremely important. Houston fondly remembers driving through the arches of Spanish moss and briskly running between her grandparent’s persimmon trees. Her innocent memories and the venue’s mission to restructure their image was a deciding factor in choosing Palmetto Bluff as their wedding venue. The land that embodied the reputation as a property with a painful past would become a weekend of celebration and tributes to the ancestors.
