Moodboard: Old World Apulia

It is always such a pleasure to share the inspiration behind my work. For this editorial I wanted to pay homage to the history of Italy, and particularly the beauty of the Apulia region. My first inspiration was the beautiful ancient olive orchards. I wanted to create a structure for the reception that would allow guests to enjoy the beauty of the orchard through the evening. I sketched a structure completely covered in green garland (above) and wove the garland theme into the ceremony aisle as well. I chose a lot palette of blue-grey and sage green to offset the gorgeous neutral warm Apulian stone found in the architecture throughout the venue and region.
